How Goalfix’s Certification Program works

Duration

The program consists of 3 modules, run over 3 consecutive months.

Each program, consisting of 3 modules, is presented over 9 days

These will take place online, via live interactive online training.

Tasks and Examinations

At the end of module 1, a 1-hour online exam must be completed within 7 days.

At the end of module 2, a 2-hour online exam must be completed within 7 days.

At the end of module 3, a 6-hour online exam must be completed within 7 days.

Graduating

On completion of all 3 modules, you will receive your Goalfix Financial Modelling Certification.

What this program covers

Distilling the key elements of the business case as the building blocks of the model

Best practice methodology regarding model specifications, structure and sequence

The essential and fundamental modelling principles as set out in the FAST modelling standard

The importance of and interaction between Income Statements, Balance Sheets and Cash Flow Statements in financial models

Excel techniques useful in the analysis of model output (e.g. sensitivity analysis, scenarios, data tables, etc.)

Calculating model output (e.g. Free Cash flows, Cash Flow waterfalls, DSCR and project ratios)

Calculating returns by incorporating Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC), Free Cash Flows, Net Present Values (NPVs) and Internal Rates of Return (IRR)

Completing appropriate exercises applicable to each module and culminating in the complete build and analysis of two different models

Day 1 – Sessions 1&2:

Day 2 – Sessions 3&4:

Day 3 – Sessions 5&6:

Day 2 – Sessions 4, 5 & 6:

12:00PM – 5:00PM (4 hours)

Day 3 – Sessions 7 & 8:

1:00PM – 3:15PM (3 hours)

6 hour online examination within 1 week of date of last session

10 % discount on all modules for early payment

Total Investment – R18,950 excluding VAT

  • Module 1: R 6,950 – payment due 10 days prior to commencement of the live online training

  • Module 2: R 5,500 – payment due 10 days prior to commencement of the live online training

  • Module 3: R6,500 – payment due 10 days prior to commencement of the live online training

The course fees include the cost of the examinations and all course materials.
The course materials will comprise of all relevant Excel data files and electronic course manuals.
